My exemplary background in architecture is based on my Ph.D., master and bachelor degrees from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) established in 1773. With its well-established tradition in architectural (design) education, its Faculty of Architecture nurtures from unique history, modern and contemporary territories of Istanbul in-between Western and Eastern cultures. The ITU-Faculty of Architecture is also "the first" school in the world that obtained recognition from the National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB) outside the U.S. in 2008. (1).
.
I am deeply indebted to Dr. Gulsun Saglamer, my professor during my architecture education (Honorary Fellow by the American Institute of Architects, the first woman rector of Istanbul Technical University and the first President of European Women Rectors Association, EWORA) for the foundation of my international vision.
.
I have also taken my English language education at Istanbul Technical University, School of Foreign Languages, English Preparatory Programs accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. (2).

My outstanding high school education comes from Erenkoy Girls High School (as its graduate with honors) in Istanbul: Leman Tomsu and Munevver Belen, the first two women architects of Türkiye (1934) were graduated from the same high school (1929), and it is one of the oldest surviving institutions in education with its mission on equity and high standards in the country. (1911-present).
