At Boston Society of Architects, I volunteered to teach kids basic principles of architectural design and raise their awareness of the built environment with a humanist and aesthetic understanding. On April 5th, I assisted to set up “material and construction yards” for kids. On April 6th-7th 2019, I assisted “Kidsbuild” participants how to design a community, neighborhood, and architectural design are experienced with human sensory perception by composing the physical characteristics of human scale, proportion, size, shape, texture, mass, color, etc.

• Ekincioglu, M. (organizer), 2015, Piano recital by Gulsin Onay, the State Artist in Turkey, the soloist of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, the Harvard University-Holden Chapel, Cambridge, MA, April 28. (In collaboration with the Harvard College-Turkish Student Association).

I organized these two piano recitals to bring together research, teaching, learning communities at MIT and Harvard through this recital by Gulsin Onay, a pioneering woman pianist from modern Turkey. For these two recital organizations at MIT and Harvard, I involved with reservation procedures of the MIT-Killian Hall and the Harvard University-Holden Chapel, reservation of the pianist’s accommodation in Boston, her flight tickets, scheduling  her recital rehearsals at MIT and Harvard, coordination for piano tuning, announcement of her two recitals on media in the US, two dinners organization with her and Classical music lovers in Cambridge after two recitals, all invitations and communications with academic and learning communities at Harvard and MIT for these two recitals, printing all designed flyers by students, etc.
